Signed, executed agreements—immutable legal artifacts.
Overview¶
This section contains executed contracts and agreements. These documents are never edited after signing—they are legal records.
If contract terms change, create an amendment document or new agreement.
File Naming Convention¶
Format: YYYY-MM-DD-{description}.md or YYYY-{description}.md
Examples:
- 2024-storefront-lease.md
- 2024-12-15-alliance-distribution-agreement.md
- 2025-01-employee-john-doe.md
Date should reflect execution date.
What to Include¶
For each contract, document: - Parties to the agreement - Execution date - Key terms summary - Renewal/expiration dates - Notice requirements - Termination provisions - File location (if PDF stored elsewhere)
Link to full contract if stored externally (e.g., secure cloud storage).
Organization¶
Organize by contract type: - Leases and real estate - Vendor and supplier agreements - Employment agreements - Service provider agreements - Financing documents
Or keep chronological—choose what makes sense for your business.
